Bridgeview students took the stage with pride to entertain friends and family in the annual Winter Program. This year, Ms. Gray produced a program called “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays,” which took Dorothy of Wizard of Oz fame through the North Pole, meeting Angel Noel, the Grinch, and the Abominable Snowman on the way to meet the Blizzard and find her way home. The 6th grade actors weaved a narrative through the performances of each class. Creativity ran through the students’ acting, singing and playing!
The program kicked off with a growing 6th Grade band, and special guests Grumpy Elves Mr. B and Mr. Seamer. The Glissandos, the 4th and 5th Grade choir, set the scene with “Sing a Rainbow.” The Kindergarten showed their hip hop skills, and the 5th Grade counted their blessings. The 4th Grade sang the classic Grinch theme and used sign language while singing “Chirstmas Comes from the Heart.” Both the 2nd and 3rd Grades rocked out with their performances and the 1st Grade focused on snow. The 6th Grade brought it home, singing two beautiful songs about family.
As always, the entire school circles the audience to end the concert (always a special and emotional moment.) Thank you to Ms. Gray for writing this wonderful concert, and Ms. Bailey for teaching our students the love of music.
