Pleasant View celebrated December in its Winter Program on December 1, 2016. Students at all grade levels belted out songs that celebrate the season!
The program started with the Spartan Singers, the 4/5 choir, who sang in several parts and ended their set with a fun piece that hit nearly every traditional holiday song in just three minutes. Next up, the Kindergarten who celebrated the cold weather December brings with a song about cold weather wear and a dancing snowflake. First Graders sang about the gifts received this time of year, including a song about wanting a chicken! The 4th Grade focused on food, including singing a song in a British accent about a pesky chestnut that’s too hard to crack! December is also joyous, which the 5th Grade proved with two beautiful songs. The 6th Grade played recorders and then had a bit of fun with the traditional song “Deck the Halls.” The 6th Grade Band gave the audience three great songs, included the favorite “Believe” from the Polar Express. The concert ended with the 6th grade and kindergarten singing “Jingle Bells.” A great way to start the holiday season! See our picture gallery below, as well as some snippets of each grade performing!
