PVJH Bands Heat Up a Cold Night

Posted December 15th, 2016

As the temperature dipped to 4 degrees on December 13, 2016, the musicians in the Pleasant Valley Junior High Band made us all forget the weather.  The PVJH has so many members the concert is divided into two sessions to accommodate all students and audience members.

The Gray Bands kicked off the night.  The 7th graders showed of their skills in three pieces, including the peppy “Shepherd’s Hey.”  The 8th graders played four pieces and shined on “A Magnificent Christmas.”  Later in the night, the Blue Bands took to the gym floor.  “Jingle Bells, Samba Bells!” conjured up thoughts of warm weather climates.  The 8th Grade band brought us back to reality with the driving groove of “Winterwinds.”

Thank you to all students involved and a special thank you to Junior High Band Directors, Mr. Davis and Mrs. Lopez!
