A Message from Principal Gertson: I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and break with your children!  This marks such an exciting time to appreciate the gifts we have and extend help to others.  This year Riverdale Heights students and families contributed over 10,000 items to the Student Hunger Drive.  Thank you for your support of this event and for your support in the community.  The character of our students and community generosity shows we have much to be proud of at Riverdale Heights!

Weather/Parking Lot Procedures: With changes of weather occurring, it is a good time to revisit parking lot procedures.  Please adhere to the flow of traffic (shown here) and be mindful of others who are also waiting for their children.  Do not double park or block vehicles, and please make use of parking spots if you are coming into the building to meet your child.  Please refrain from cell phone usage, and use cross walks when entering the building.  Riverdale appreciates your efforts to follow these procedures and keep everyone safe.

Attendance: Please remember that attendance is an important factor in making sure students receive the instruction they need to make grade level progress.  Every child is expected to be in their seat, ready to learn at 8:30 a.m. each morning, and that vacations are scheduled around the school calendar whenever possible.  Strive for less than 5!
