THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered, provided donations and/or just supported Fall Frolic. The event was a huge success and fun for everyone. We are so excited about how your generosity will benefit our students and teachers this year.

Join us Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. for this month’s PTA meeting. We’ll be voting on items to purchase with Fall Frolic proceeds. We’ll also have information about the upcoming book fair, Halloween parties and PTA Reflections program. Childcare is provided. The meeting takes place in the library and won’t last more than one hour.

Picture Retakes, Thursday, October 12:  If your child was absent the day school pictures were taken, their picture will be taken for the yearbook.  If you did not purchase a picture package and would like to now, or if you would like your child’s picture retaken, you may have them photographed on the 12th.  In order to receive a picture package, the student must either bring a money envelope with the picture package listed (picture envelopes are available in the office) or return the picture package that was not satisfactory.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office at 332-0210.

Parent-teacher conferences are an important communication vehicle to discuss students’ academic and social progress. We believe time invested in communicating between home and school regarding your child(ren)’s progress is vital to planning for and supporting student success. In order to clearly communicate and best support your child(ren)’s learning, Pleasant Valley Community School District strongly encourages you to make every effort to schedule a single conference including all parents/guardians and the homeroom teacher of each student.  We appreciate your support and collaboration with us to plan for the best educational experience for your child(ren).

Conference scheduling is under way, if you are aware of any conflicts, please contact Jennifer Kipper at kipperjennifer@pleasval.k12.ia.us or 563-332-0210.  We will do our best to accommodate, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
