All library books are due Friday, May 31. All fines need to be paid, at the latest, Friday, June 7th by noon. All books not returned by noon Friday, June 7th will be marked lost, and the replacement cost and a $5.00 non-refundable fee will be charged to your account.

Students going on the DC trip: A reminder that you will be dismissed from class on Thursday, June 6 at 11:00 AM. If you don’t eat A lunch, make sure you pack your own for that day. Also, remember to clean out your locker before you leave for the trip.

Improv Club will meet today from 3:15 – 4:45 in room 116.

Recycling Club will meet today after school.

The last Video Game Club of the year will be on Monday, June 3rd in room 106 from 2:30-3:45.

Last week of school dress up days for students from Student Council!! Monday-Twin Day, Tuesday- 80’s Day, Wednesday- Disney Day, Thursday- Meme/Vine Day (school appropriate), Friday- Lazy Day.

SITT will meet Thursday this week.

Art Club and FACS Club are combining to offer one last opportunity to be creative in the kitchen and in the art studio. If interested in participating please sign up on the art door. This activity will be Thursday May 30th 3:10-4:45 and is limited to 15 students.

PE makeups will be Thursday of this week and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. These will be the last PE makeups for the year. You will need to arrange rides if there are no activity busses.

1st Annual QC Area Youth Pickleball Tournament! June 10, 11am, Middle/Jr. High and High School Youth at Bettendorf Middle School courts. Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams. Bring your own partner or we can help find you one. Information and registration at Grab a flier in the main office.

The City of Bettendorf needs more volunteers to help with the 4th of July parade.

The Youth Sports Foundation will be offering a padded football camp in Muscatine Iowa this summer on July 26 & 27.
This camp will feature a collection of crucial skills and definitive concepts that all ball players must understand & perform well. These multi-positional techniques and strategic details cover football’s most fundamental requirements. Players will learn proper tackling technique, how to keep leverage versus an opponent, performance training exercises and position-specific skills. Players will also compete in coach-controlled 1 on 1 drills. Sign up online at: Information fliers available in the main office.

The Pleasant Valley Band department is offering a summer band program this June. The program runs June 11-27 with classes meeting Tuesday-Thursday for three weeks. Students have the option of participating in an ensemble, lessons, or both. Registration is available online at For more information please visit the PVJH Band Website or contact Ms. Kreassig.

Spartans as the temperatures continue to get warmer please take the time to review the PVJH dress code in the student/parent handbook. Pants/shorts must be worn at the waist to insure that undergarments are not visible. Shirts must cover the abdomen, cleavage, shoulders, and back during normal classroom activities. Thank you in advance for following kithe PVJH dress expectations.
