State Industrial Tech Expo No Match for PVHS Students

State level competitions aren’t just for athletics! The State Industrial Technology Exposition took place last Friday where PVHS had 8 students submit projects and 7 place for awards in two different categories!

In the first category, Architectural Design, PV placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in Division III. The students created a complete set of prints, a 3D printed model, and architectural renderings for a residential structure in the VenWoods subdivision.

1st Place: Cooper Frakes
2nd Place: Emily Preston
3rd Place: Josh Soultz & Jeanelle Cho

The second category was a group project in (STEM) Pre-Engineering. For the project, the students reverse engineered and innovated a toy drone. They measured and modeled every part of the drone, completing visual, functional, and structural analysis. After finishing market research, the students developed an innovated version of the product and 3D printed a prototype to assess its performance and functionality.

1st Place Division III – Kyra Evjen, Kaley Peterson, & Gillian Oenick

Way to go students!
