Pleasant Valley Battle of the Books teams came in 1-2-3 at the District competition. Hopewell edged out a win! Just three points separated three teams from Hopewell, Riverdale Heights and Cody! Six PV teams competed overall!
The Battle of the Books for the Eastern Iowa program tests 4th-6th grade teams on their knowledge of the current year’s Iowa Children’s Choice Award titles. Teams of three age-appropriate students are formed in their schools. Battles are performed at three levels to determine the final grand champion for the region.
