Student Services
Pleasant Valley Community School District provides the full continuum of special education services and placement for eligible individuals from age 3-21, including preschool. At Pleasant Valley our belief is that students are best educated in the least restrictive environment whenever possible and that all students with special education needs are general education students first.
Each of our six elementary schools, along with our Junior High and High School provide the continuum of special education services. When students are not able to make progress in their neighborhood school, the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) team may determine that a higher level of services and supports is needed. Two of our six elementary schools host district-wide centerbase or level 3 programs for students with emotional/behavioral needs; students with autism and students with intellectual disabilities.
