Sarah Cronk Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship honors the work of Sarah Cronk, a 2011 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and founder of Generation Spirit (formerly The Sparkle Effect). At just 15 years old, Sarah launched a national movement to create inclusive school-based cheerleading and dance teams, bringing together students with and without disabilities. Sarah’s leadership has inspired social inclusion for tens of thousands of students across the country, rooted in the belief that all students deserve a genuine team experience—one built on commitment, collaboration, and shared effort. Today, Sarah continues to champion disability advocacy, diversity, and inclusion through her work as a writer, speaker, and curriculum developer. This scholarship celebrates Sarah’s work by recognizing a PVHS senior who demonstrates leadership, inclusivity, and a commitment to making a positive impact on their community.

Administration will select a senior who demonstrates leadership, supports nonprofit work and inclusion, passionately pursues a purpose greater than themselves, strives to build a kinder world through meaningful transformation, and plans to attend college or vocational school after graduation.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Plans to attend college or vocational school after graduation.
