Pleasant Valley Community School District has seen some amazing growth over the last 5 years. Approximately 750 students have joined us as Spartans!
To keep up, the district will be adding on to Pleasant Valley Junior High and Forest Grove ahead of the 2024-25 school year.
Forest Grove Elementary will expand to a 4-section building. Much like we did with Hopewell, we'll be adding 12 classrooms (seen in orange below) and an additional bathroom (seen in gray below).
At the Junior High, a new addition will be built on the front of the building, including 14 classrooms (orange), two science rooms (yellow), an art room (blue), and a new main office (purple). The old main office will be renovated into a new counseling office (green). The Family and Consumer Science room will get an overhaul for state-of-the-art learning (green). We'll add on to the cafeteria to accommodate approximately 80 more students per lunch period (red).
The Board of Education approved the projects on October 24, 2022. Bids are due on November 29, 2022. Building will begin in March 2023. The anticipated cost is $16.5 million for the combined project.
