Wikan Named SE District Middle School Athletic Director of the Year

Pleasant Valley is proud to announce that Colin Wikan, Junior High Dean of Students and Athletic Director, has been named the Southeast District Middle School Athletic Director of the Year by the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association (IHSADA). This prestigious honor recognizes Colin's outstanding leadership, dedication to student-athletes, and his ongoing commitment to excellence in Pleasant Valley’s athletics program.

His ability to balance the needs of athletes, coaches, and staff while fostering an inclusive and competitive environment has been instrumental in the growth and success of PVJH athletics. "Colin’s leadership has not only enhanced our sports programs but also positively influenced the opportunities our student athletes have been able to experience,” said Mike Peakin, PVJH Principal. “His organization, leadership and passion for athletics truly sets him apart."

The IHSADA District Middle School Athletic Director of the Year Award is awarded to one AD in the Southeast, Southwest, Northeast and Northwest District. A finalist for Middle School Athletic Director of the Year will be selected after the first of the year.

We are incredibly proud of Colin for receiving this well-deserved honor, and we look forward to seeing the continued positive impact he will have on our athletic programs.
