The Pleasant Valley High School cheerleaders wrapped up an impressive season with an exciting performance at the Iowa State Cheerleading Championships. Going into the season with a goal of making the top 5, PVHS Cheer reached that milestone with a 5th-place finish in the 4A Cheer Dance category, securing a spot on the podium and bringing home a trophy.
The season was not without its challenges. The stunt group faced a last-minute injury and had to adapt quickly by subbing in an alternate. Despite this setback, they delivered a strong performance, finishing 9th out of 21 in their category.
The cheerleaders have been training and preparing since July, pushing through numerous injuries and setbacks to reach their goal. Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance have been evident in every practice and performance. Achieving a top-5 finish is a testament to their commitment, and the team is thrilled to have earned a place on the podium.
Congratulations to PVHS Cheer for an outstanding season and for representing Pleasant Valley with pride!
