Fostering Excellence and Teamwork

Head Coach Katie Rokusek, alongside assistant coaches Sammy Faucz and Maddy Wells, emphasized the importance of teamwork and legacy in Platinum’s success. “Each year, our dancers raise the bar, building on the achievements of those who have come before them,” said Coach Rokusek. “We are proud to stand on the shoulders of the incredible athletes who have worn the PVP uniform in years past.”

Coach Rokusek also highlighted the unwavering support of parents and local dance studios as a cornerstone of the team’s accomplishments. “Together, this network empowers our dancers to thrive. Platinum isn’t just a name; it’s a standard,” she said.

A Season Highlight: Dancing with Heart

One of the standout moments of the season came during Platinum’s State Jazz routine at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Competition. “The routine itself was bold, challenging, and emotional, and the dancers poured their hearts into every count,” shared Coach Rokusek. “They didn’t just dance for the judges—they danced for each other and for every PVP athlete who’s come before them. Seeing them leave everything on the floor and knowing they had given their absolute best reminded me why I love coaching this team.”

A Legacy Built to Last

Platinum’s Tunnel Vision theme for the season reflected their commitment to focus, excellence, and resilience. With a legacy of state championships and a culture of support and growth, Platinum continues to embody the best of Pleasant Valley’s commitment to excellence.

Congratulations to the entire Pleasant Valley Platinum team on another incredible season!
