There are so many ways to think about math! This group in Mr. Jones’s fourth-grade class is trying to figure out how tall an elephant is in inches. They were given yards and feet and had to convert that to inches with pretty big numbers. They discussed how they could take those bigger numbers like 16 and make them into manageable and friendly numbers that are easy to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Together they came up with a solution and left feeling pretty confident that they could teach another student to do the same problem!
