Cody hosted a diaper drive during the month of January to collect diapers for Hiney Heroes (a local organization that provides diapers to those in our community in need) It was a competition among the grade levels to see who could collect the most.
Over the course of the month, Mrs. Samuelson’s 4th graders gathered and organized the diapers, keeping track of totals and making announcements each week. Today they loaded them up in the moving van to be passed out to those in need.
In the end, Cody collected over 15,500 diapers to donate.
3rd grade beat out 5th grade by just 40 diapers - donating 4,634 diapers.
But 5th grade put up a good fight!
