Kindergarten Families-
Hope you are having a lovely summer! We would like to share some information regarding the first week of the 2021-22 school year for your Kindergartener.
District teachers and principals have designed a "best-ever" first week of Kindergarten for your 5 year old! Our intention is to stagger attendance on the start-up week so that students are able to attend in smaller groups on their first two attendance days. The smaller class sizes will help students learn routines and become familiar with the teacher and the classroom. Also, a staggered start schedule may serve to reduce stress for the child and build confidence that will last far beyond those first days of school!
Your child will attend just three of the first five days of school in the week of August 23 - 27. Specific details regarding your child's assigned classroom teacher and custom staggered start schedule will be shared with you on August 9.
Monday, August 23 - A Day students attend (1/2 class)
Tuesday, August 24 - B Day students to attend (1/2 class)
Wednesday, August 25 - A Day students attend (1/2 class)
Thursday, August 26 - B Day students to attend (1/2 class)
Friday, August 27 - Both A Day and B Day students to attend
