Students in Ms. Jorgensen's class are digging deep to analyze a short story called "The Lady, or the Tiger?" After reading it on their at-home day, students divided into groups and headed to different stations around the room. Questions at each station prompted students to dig into the text and discuss points about the plot, conflict, and characterization. At one station, they listened to a song based on the story and had to identify lyrics to make a connection between the two. In another, they had to write a "found poem" - which takes existing texts and refashions them, reorders them, and presents them as a new literary work. A lot of deep thinking from these students!
