Dissecting a piece of non-fiction and really understanding it can be hard. 4th graders in Mrs. Meuser’s class read an article about whales and sharks and had to distill the differences and similarities between the two giants of the sea. Each socially distanced group wrote a topic sentence and then pulled out evidence from the text to support it. Good conversations and thinking from these 4th Graders!
